Playing in the Snow

We had a small-medium sized snow storm yesterday. Probably only about 4-5 inches, but super wet and heavy, with a terrible impact on the commute home. But it provided an excellent opportunity for Noah to break out his snow pants for the first time this year. Here he is, all decked out in full winter attire.

Soapy Soup

Here is Noah engaging in a favorite pastime of the moment-- making soapy soup in the sink.

Tangled

I took Noah to see Tangled, his first movie in a movie theater today. Most people we know with kids Noah's age have already done the kid movie thing, but I wasn't sure he was ready when some of the other big kid hit movies have come to the big screen. I was worried he would be bored waiting for the movie to start, frightened by the very loud trailers (why they are so much louder than the movie itself, I really don't know), or that he would get bored part way through and want to leave. As it turned out, he did a really good job being patient waiting for the movie to start, and there was only one trailer. He did ask when it would be over a couple of times and was a little bit antsy, but in the end he made it through and enjoyed it.

As for Tangled itself, it was very watchable, but IMO, not the best of the Disney princess flicks. Watchable, but not memorable. I think Noah enjoyed the gigantic (yet size small) popcorn that we shared about as much as the movie itself.

The picture above is of Noah playing on one of the video game machines in the theater lobby before we went into the theater itself to sit down. Buttons and a steering wheel-- you can't go wrong with that.
