Haircut

We finally broke down and trimmed Noah's hair at the back today. His curls were just all over the place. Darren and I decided to do it ourselves. Hope that wasn't a bad idea. It actually looks better in person than it does in the pictures

The Pickleini

He won't eat green vegetables, yet Noah has suddenly become a huge fan of pickles. He LOVES the really really sour kind, just like me. Now, if I eat one he's constantly begging for a bite. It's just seems so strange that he would eat something that has such a strong taste when he won't eat most regular food....

15 Month Statistics

Noah had his 15 month well child check-up yesterday. He weighed in at 24 lbs 1.5 oz (49th percentile for weight) and was 31.5 inches tall (60th percentile for height). He had four shots: the 4th in the Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis series, his Measles-Mumps-Rubella vaccine, the Chicken Pox vaccine, and the Flu vaccine. Ouch. He didn't cry at all after the first shot, but sobbed after the next three. Poor thing. It breaks my heart, but I strongly believe that it's the best thing for him. So far he has not had any reactions, but both the MMR and the Chicken Pox vaccine can have a delayed response of up to two weeks, so he may get a slight fever and/or a rash at some point soon.

Pool Time

Sunday was a sticky hot day, and because it's past Labor Day, the Kingstowne pool is now closed. So to cool off I got out Noah's blow up pool and he and Sean went for a dip.

After the swim, the boys got to go for a ride in Noah's wagon. They're really getting heavy!

Clemyjontri

This morning Noah and I met up with some of the moms and babies from our old moms group over at this incredible park called Clemyjontri. Clemyjontri is a "universally designed" park, so it is accessible to kids at all ability levels and ages. There were so many things to play with that Noah didn't know where to start.

Here's Noah playing with Greydon and Kaitlyn

Greydon was Noah's copilot while he drove the airplane.

Noah really enjoyed riding on the various vehicles on springs.

And he just loved running around. The pavement is made from this slightly spongy colored material so it didn't hurt him at all when he would fall.

Here's the whole gang (from Left to Right): Mia, Greydon, Noah, and Kaitlyn.

The Merry-Go-Round

Yesterday afternoon we went over to the Lee District Rec Center where Noah and I took swimming lessons last Spring to see if we could get a ride on the carousel. It always looks to be totally deserted, which we thought it was again at first, but there was actually someone there to operate it. It was just us and one other family, and it looked as if we were the first people to bother all day long. Noah liked it at first, but then got a little afraid and the ride was a long ride because no one was waiting to get on. I didn't like how the pictures came out, so I'm only posting one from the ride. After the carousel ride, we just let Noah run around in the grass for a little while.
