A Typical Night at Our House

Here are some videos of Noah buzzing around the room on a couple recent nights. I love how Noah stops to pet Audrey in the first one.

Mama and the Blog Turns 1

I was looking back on some previous posts and I just wanted to update that Noah now says mama. In fact, he says it all the time. He points at Darren and (loudly) says "Daddy!" then he points to me and (more quietly) says "Mama" and then he points to one of the cats and (again loudly) says "aheee" which is what he called both Ole (pronounced ollie) and Audrey. He does this over and over again constantly. Just his way of identifying his family. He still can't say 'Noah' but he will point to himself if you say "where's Noah?"

I also wanted to note that this blog is just about 1 year old now. I can't believe how different he looks from how he did in my early posts. See: Valentines Day Balloon

Testing the Limits

How did we get here so soon? Noah is reaching the stage where he is continually testing limits to see how far he can get. He enjoys throwing his blocks, and Darren and I always tell him "no throwing." (That kid has an arm... seriously). So then he'll throw the block, but just not as far as the previous block. Again "no throwing." So then he'll just drop the block. Does that constitute throwing? Or he'll hold it and look at me, as if to say 'are you going to keep watching to see if I throw it?' Ahhh.... the joys of parenting. We have set up the pack-n-play in the kitchen to use it as a time out space, but he enjoys when we put him in there, so I'm not sure it's really helping much.

Sienna's Big Girl Bed

We recently had our monthly dinner with Noah's friends Sienna, Mia, Greydon, and their families. This time, Sienna hosted. Her parents, Mimi and Quinn, have officially moved Sienna into a big girl bed, so Noah and Mia had to go check it out.

Then sienna cam over to show them how nice it is.

Noah thought it was great to climb on.
