Blackberries and Peaches

We spent this morning out at the farm doing some blackberry and peach picking. Noah had a wonderful time. He especially liked the blackberries because they're at just the right height. He quickly learned to pick the dark ones, not the red, unripe berries. Of course, he ate every one he picked. Darren and I made a blackberry and peach pie, though Noah is a purist and prefers the fruit to the pie.

That's blackberry on his lip, not blood.

Briana Comes to Visit

This weekend, my friend Briana came down to visit us and meet Noah for the first time. Bri is an old friend from Brandeis who now lives in Brooklyn, so we don't get a chance to see each other often. It's one of those friendships where you know it's a good friendship because no matter how long you go without seeing each other in person, there's always lots to talk about and things never seem strained. Noah loved her from the moment he met her. He spent the whole weekend showing off for her.

Also, note the yellow crocks... a gift from Grandmoo and Papa. Noah loves them so much. He never wants to wear any other shoes. I've even had to fight with him when he's going to bed because he wants to wear them to sleep.

July 4th with the Gang

We celebrated July 4th with Noah's friends Greydon, Sienna, Mia and their families. This time Greydon hosted. The kids had a wonderful time (as always). Since the four of them are so close in age-- within two weeks-- we decided to use this excuse to celebrate all of their birthdays.

Here are Noah and Sienna zooming a car back and
forth to each other on the table.

The newest addition to the gang is Mia's little brother, Christopher.

Story time with Mia's dad, Rob, is always a favorite.

And, birthday cake is also always a favorite

Noah really enjoyed his.

Sienna did too.

After dinner and cake we headed out to Greydon's balcony for a view of the fireworks.
Here is Noah pointing out the fireworks to Mia.

Noah really enjoyed them. All he could talk about was fireworks for the rest of the night.

And clearly, Greydon enjoyed them too.

Happy 4th of July!
