The Words I like

For posterity sake, I just wanted to record and remember the cute way Noah says certain words these days... knowing that all too soon he'll pronounce them correctly. So my favorite words of the moment are:
  • Coomummer= Cucumber. Noah is sooooo into cucumbers. His daycare teacher planted them in her back yard and he loves to find them. She keeps thinking she has harvested them all, but Noah keeps finding ones she missed. He's little farmer Noah. He also likes to eat cucumbers, especially if I soak them in white balsamic vinegar.
  • Cappacappa= Caterpillar. He's a big fan of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and he likes to say "Cappacappa turn butterfly." For a long time he couldn't say butterfly and would say "butty" instead, but now he says butterfly very clearly.

At the Pool

This morning we met Karen, Sean and baby Liam at the Kingstowne pool for a few hours. Noah and Sean always have a great time playing with each other. Neither one of them wanted to go home at lunch time.

Duplos and Dishcloth

These are just some random pictures of Noah playing while we were cooking dinner the other night. He's really into duplos these days, but he gets frustrated when he can't get them to fix together.

He was also enjoying playing with the dishcloth. Toys certainly don't need to be expensive and come wrapped in an insane amount of plastic and junk to be fun.

Farm Pics Courtesy of Greydon's Mom

These pictures are from our most recent trip to the farm a couple weeks ago. Darren was still recovering from minor surgery, so he wasn't able to come, but since we were going with Noah's friends and their families, I had some extra adult help and decided Noah and I would go anyway. As always we had a great time. Of course, being that I was a single mom for the morning, I didn't have time to really take pictures, so these come courtesy of my friend Lisa, Greydon's mom.

We took a spin around the farm on this cow ride. Of course about two minutes after Noah and I got into our cart (and believe me it was a tight fit), and just before we were about to go, I realized that Noah had a poopy diaper... very pleasant.

And of course, the kids went blackberry picking.

Here are Noah and Sienna at the country store.
