MLK Day Present

This weekend was MLK day weekend, so Noah and I had Monday off. At daycare, Sangeeta and Danette had been teaching the kids about Martin Luther King and told them they were getting Monday off to celebrate his birthday.

So tonight, Noah suddenly announces that he wants to go potty. Typically he steers clear of the potty. If you ask him if he wants to sit on it, he emphatically says no. But tonight he actually asked to sit on it. So I raced him upstairs and quick as could be took off his PJs and diaper and sat him on the potty and low and behold, we had pee pee. Afterwards I was telling him how I am so proud of him and he announces "And, it's Dr. King's birthday!" Happy Birthday to Dr. King, indeed!
