Paul Scholes, He Scores Goals

Noah tried on his new football kit tonight. He looks so cute. But the socks are WAY too big. Finally, a kit that doesn't have AIG plastered across the front. Here he is in his old football kit.

Grandmoo's Birthday

We went to Grandmoo and Papa's house yesterday to celebrate Grandmoo's 61st birthday. Here is Noah playing with Evie.

She is just such a cute baby. I could eat her up!

Here he is hanging out with Daddy and Grandma Jean. It's so nice for him to be able to see all his grandparents together.

My Aunt Vicky was also visiting, so that was a bonus.

A Picnic at Lane

We've had a string of beautiful weather. Last weekend we took Grandma Jean over to Lane Elementary school, where Noah will go to school in just 2 years, for a picnic and so that Noah could play on the playground.

Udvar-Hazy

Grandma Jean is visiting us, so last week I took a day off from work and we all went to Udvar-Hazy-- the "other" Air and Space museum. Noah enjoyed looking at all the airplanes and rockets.

Labor Day Fun

I am WAY behind on posting...

These pictures are from Labor Day. We spent the day with our friends at Rob's parents' house (they were out of town). The kids enjoyed playing all day, swimming, running around in the big back yard... a good time was had by all.

Because this was an all day event, the kids took a nap together on the couch. Noah and Mia are sparked out in this picture.

Dinner with Sophia

We had dinner last night with Sophia and her parents, Gretta and David. Here are the two pals. As you can see, Noah is a full head taller than Sophia now. So funny. He looks like he's at least a year older than her, instead of a few weeks younger.

He's wearing his San Francisco T-shirt that my friend Patty brought him the first time she met him when he was about 5 months old. Patty lives in San Fran. I remember at the time thinking, he'll never be big enough to wear that! Well, the time has come. It just floors me how fast time passes, because that doesn't seem that long ago.

Big Boy Bed

Today, we hit a major milestone. The crib is gone and in its place is a real big boy bed. It is bittersweet. Along with the crib, we had to move the glider out of his room, which makes me nostalgic and a little sad. For 3 years we've used it every day, either nursing in the beginning, and later reading bedtime stories every night. Now, bedtime stories will be read to Noah in bed. There just wasn't enough room in his little room for the big boy bed and the glider. But, the room looks great. Darren and I put "wallies" up on the wall behind it that match the bedspread. It finally feels like there's more personality to that room.

Now... the question is how will Noah do in the bed tonight. He has been quite conflicted about moving to the big boy bed. We bought it several months ago, but it has been sitting in boxes in the foyer and then the spare bedroom for all that time. So, we've been talking about the big boy bed for a while. Sometimes he would say he wants his big boy bed, but mostly he would say that he still wants his crib. He napped with Darren in our bed today, and when he woke up--cranky-- he was very upset about the big boy bed and especially about the wallies. He kept telling me to take the stickers off his wall. But then he decided he liked them, so hopefully that is what prevails. And, hopefully he won't get in the habit of jumping on the bed.
