Noah now walks more than he crawls. He can even stand up by himself without using anything with which to pull himself up or balance.

The Patient Girl
Audrey has infinate patience. She must not be too bothered or she would leave. Noah loves when she swishes her tail in his face.

Radio Flyer
Noah's Grandmoo and Grandpa bought him this radio flyer so that we can take it with us when we go to the Outer Banks in August. When I was a little kid, we had a wagon at the beach where my grandparents had a cottage and my grandfather would load it up every morning with all the beach chairs and then I would climb on top of it and he would pull me down the road to the beach.
Now, of course, much has changed since then. I wouldn't have Noah sitting on top of beach chairs being pulled on a wagon because I'd be afraid he would fall off, even when he gets a bit older. This radio flyer comes complete with seat belts and two seats that can fold down if you want a flat bottom.
You can see in these pictures that the thumbkin rarely comes out of the mouth. I don't mind it much now, but I'm sure in a few years I'll be trying to get him to stop. These pictures where taken on his 13 month birthday, though I think now that he's past a year, I need to stop celebrating the monthly birthdays.

Guck
Noah's favorite "word" these days is Guck. It's a good thing he can't make F sounds.... Guck Guck Guck Guck... not sure what it means, but it must be a fun sound to make.

Walking
Noah started taking steps just over a week ago, but I didn't catch him on camera until today. This isn't really the best video, because I never seem to have the camera handy when he walks the furthest, but it will do. He is so proud of himself when he walks, though he's much faster when he crawls, so that's what he does when he really wants to get somewhere in a hurry. But, I think soon he'll stop crawling all together.
More pics from last weekend in CT
Here is Noah in his Ergo carrier. I LOVE this thing. It was a birthday present to Noah from Aunt Sue. Thank you!! We didn't used the stroller once while we were in Connecticut.
Noah is stalking Darren in the hopes of getting a taste of his ice cream.
He takes this very seriously.
Four kids and a dog!
Having twins is a lot of work... I couldn't do it, that's for sure.
Peek-a-Boo
Noah's all time favorite game is peek-a-boo. He REALLY never tires of this. While we were visiting my parents, Noah decided to play peek-a-boo using a see through tablemat. I think he thought he could see me through it, but that I couldn't see him.
"Where's Noah?"
"There he is!"
"Uh oh, I can't find him."

Vera, Ben and Elle
One of the best parts about visiting my parents last weekend was that we got a chance to see our friends Heather and Keith and their family. They've got three kids-- Vera is three, and the twins, Ben and Elle are just a couple weeks older than Noah. They live north of Boston, but drove down to Connecticut for the weekend while we were there. Heather and I have known each other since we were 12 years old, and it's so nice having children that are the same age.
Ben wanted to try Noah's trick of climbing in and out.
He's a very happy boy.
Here we go again!
Here is little Elle. Notice those feet-- those are Noah's as he climbs out of the pool... he kept climbing in and out the whole time it was set up.
Clearly they were in a hurry to get outside to the pool
Ben wanted to try Noah's trick of climbing in and out.
He's a very happy boy.
Here we go again!
Noah was having such a good time with his friends that he fell over laughing.
Visiting Grandmoo and Grandpa
For the July 4th holiday weekend, the three of us drove up to Connecticut. I was very nervous about the drive up because it is a long drive and I didn't know how Noah would do in the car for that period of time, but he was a real trooper. He slept most of the way both there and back.

One Small Step...
Yesterday, Noah took his first step at daycare and then repeated the new trick later that night for me!! He was very proud of himself. We're off to visit my family in Connecticut for the 4th of July weekend, so I think he'll probably perfect his skills while we're away.
